Key Chain Print E-mail

Materials Needed:
Letter beads or large letter beads
Scissors
Plastic thread (found at craft store)
Letter stickers
Key chain ring

Step 1
Help your child to sort through the letter beads to find the letters of his/her name.
This is a good opportunity to practice letter recognition.

Step 2
Cut a piece of plastic thread to fit the length of letters.

Step 3
String beads onto thread. If stringing is difficult, larger wooden beads are easier for small hands to manipulate.

Step 4
If using wooden beads, attach a letter sticker to each bead, spelling out child's name.

Step 5
Tie a knot at one end of the string.

Step 6
Slip the other side of the string through with key chain ring and secure with a knot.

Step 7
Child can use key chain or give as a gift to a friend of family member.
