Materials Needed:
Felt (different colors)
Marker
Scissors
Giggle eyes (available at craft store)
Sticky back magnets
Wood dowel
Yarn
Glue or tape
 
 
Step 1
Using a marker, draw several fish on different colored pieces of felt.

Step 2
Cut out fish using scissors.
Cutting non-paper materials develops hand strength and gradation of force.

Step 3
Cut magnets into square shapes.

Step 4
Stick one magnet on front of each fish.

Step 5
Glue giggle eye on each fish.

Step 6
Cut yarn into 24" length.

Step 7
Wrap one end of dowel with yarn and secure with glue or tape.

Step 8
Stick a magnet on the other end of the yarn. This will be the fishing pole.

Step 9
Children will have hours of fun playing GO FISH.
This craft also develops eye-hand coordination.
